Your industry work experience begins as a student. With endless postings of volunteer or paid work assignments, our Career Services department fields hundreds of calls for student make-up artists for student films, theatre productions, dance companies, in-store promotions, fashion shows, and special events.

As a graduate, you will receive continual support on how to earn credits and how to apply for permitee status for the film unions (IATSE local 891 and ACFC). You will learn what it's like to work on independent productions, what rates to command for commercials or fashion shows, and which product suppliers are reputable and reliable. Through the tireless efforts of our Make-up Director, Make-up Department Head, Make-up Faculty, and Career Coordinator, the Blanche Macdonald Centre is completely immersed and connected to all aspects of the Make-up industry. There is immense effort placed in promoting our graduates to the best companies and career opportunities.
