Whether it's collaborating on a make-up "croquis" for a design collection, applying a bridal make-up for a wedding party or interpreting a make-up for a character from a film script, the Make-up Program at the Blanche Macdonald Centre challenges you to be expressive, experimental and creative.  With a strong emphasis on practical training and instructional demos, students gain confidence and expertise by working on a diversity of faces and creating a variety of looks.  Our comprehensive curriculum has been developed and updated by our award-winning Make-up Director, Todd McIntosh.  This program is progressive and industry responsive.

The Make-up Diploma Program is offered on both a part-time and full-time basis.  A student must successfully complete ALL levels of the program in order to obtain a Diploma.  Each section of the program includes both theoretical and practical study with emphasis on the practical.  Exams - both written and practical - are given at the end of each section.  Alternatively, students who do not require a Diploma may register for independent levels of the program.  In order to enter into more advanced levels, certain prerequisites are required.

Important - please note:
Certain portions of the curriculum are included only in the Full-time Day Program and not in the Part-time Evening Program. The length of the part-time evening program does not allow us to provide the same amount of practical training hours as the day program. Therefore, certain aspects of the following outlined curriculum are omitted from the evening program. In addition, course offerings, schedules, tuition fees, facilities and faculty outlined here are subject to change without notice.
