Ten winners will receive one of the selected book titles as part of a Book Giveaway via Blanche Macdonald’s official Instagram account @BlancheWorld Only entries following these rules will be considered for this contest.

Entry into this Instagram giveaway constitutes your acceptance of these official rules:

1. CONTEST DATES: No purchase necessary to enter this contest. Instagram contest giveaway for a book from a collection of ten curated books from Blanche Macdonald Centre. Contest commences Saturday August 1st at 4pm PST and closes Friday August 14th at 5pm PST. 
2. PRIZING: Blanche Macdonald Centre shall not be responsible for entries lost, misdirected or delayed. Entries received by phone, fax, courier, and e-mail will not be accepted by Blanche Macdonald Centre. Prizes available:en winners will receive one of the selected book titles as part of a Book Giveaway. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. One winner will be selected. The winners will be announced publicly on Blanche Macdonald’s Instagram page @BlancheWorld shortly after the contest closing time and will have 72 hours to claim their prize. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within this time, or does not claim his/her prize before August 21st at 5PM PST, or does not meet all the contest conditions, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.
3. ELIGIBILITY: This contest is open to (i) legal residents of Canada. Only those who follow the submission guidelines will be eligible to win. As rules of have been updated to include @BlancheWorld as of August 1st, 2020 all submissions from the previous date will still be eligible. Moving forward all submissions after August 1st, 2020 must include @BlancheWorld in the following actions.
4. This offer is void where prohibited by law. Chances of winning are solely dependant on the total number of eligible entries received. This contest is governed by British Columbia and Canadian law and is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and participation in the contest indicates acceptance of all contest rules and regulations. Void where prohibited.
5. The decisions of the contest judges are final. The prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash. The prize winner has the sole responsibility of paying any taxes connected to the prize, if any. By entering the contest, entrants or parent/legal guardian of entrant if under the age of majority, consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph and/or image for publicity purposes in all mediums carried out by Blanche Macdonald Centre without payment or compensation. Blanche Macdonald Centre will not sell or rent any information gathered from contest entries to third parties.
6. The eligible winner of the prize automatically releases Blanche Macdonald Centre from any liability arising from the acceptance of the prize and confirming compliance with contest rules.
7. If selected as a winner, the potential winners will be required to execute the following to obtain the Prize: (1) A declaration of eligibility and liability release; (2) Warranty of ownership and license; (3) Publicity release; and (4) Any other affidavits, declarations, and/or releases or additional documents that may be required. Unless prohibited by law, the potential winner must sign these documents no later than 15 days from the date of receipt of prize notification in order for sponsor to award the prize. Noncompliance or return of prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and, at sponsor’s discretion, selection of an alternate winner.
8. Blanche Macdonald Centre accepts no liability or responsibility in connection with any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising out of this contest or the prize. By participating, entrants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Blanche Macdonald Centre, and their partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any claims, losses, and damages (including but not limited to indirect and consequential damages) arising out of their participation in this Contest or any Contest-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder.
9. No responsibility will be taken for any failure of the website during the promotion or for any problems or technical malfunction of a telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail, online or Internet entry to be received by Blanche Macdonald Centre on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Blanche Macdonald Centre reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Internet portion of this contest should a virus, bug or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Blanche Macdonald Centre corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Blanche Macdonald Centre reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.
10. All prizes given away in Blanche Macdonald’s social media giveaways are non-transferable. All dates are fixed.
