PRO Hair: Career Services
The demand for highly trained hair care professionals is explosive. Career possibilities are endless. Hair care professionals command fluid skills that can be transferred worldwide to a multitude of work environments and industries. From hair stylists, colour and perm technicians, platform artists, technical trainers, product consultants, salon owners and entrepreneurs, wig makers, Department Heads for Hair for TV and film productions. Graduates of the Professional Pro Hair Diploma Program are working as hair specialists for fashion shoots, runway shows and as stylists in such prestigious salons as Aveda, Avantgarde and Toni & Guy.

Phil has been a leader in the hair industry for over thirty years.
Beginning his career in London England, Phil has been a salon owner, manager, instructor and educational director at several schools in Alberta and British Columbia. He has honed his technical skills in advanced hair cutting, styling and colouring and holds an ITAC interprovincial Red Seal designation as well as a BC Level 1 and 2 Judge Certification. He is a current member of CASC (Canada Arts and Science Council) and JAG Joico artist guild of North America.
Working from a strong foundation of hairdressing and instructional skills, Phil deftly guides the professional development of the Blanche Macdonald hair students and graduates. With his compassionate and enthusiastic approach, Phil helps them realize their creative and career dreams as he connects them with industry opportunities and employers.
