Evan Clayton | Instructor



Evan Clayton is a graduate of the Blanche Macdonald Centre Fashion Design Program. Since his graduation in 2010 when he launched his self-titled line EVAN CLAYTON, Mr. Clayton has shown 14 collections throughout Canada, Austria and Japan, garnering critical acclaim from the likes of Vogue UK, Vogue China, Paper Magazine, Nylon and more.

Blurring the lines between fashion and fine art, Evan Clayton has become a household name, due in part to his design’s rich presence on Emmy Award winning show Ru Paul’s Drag Race, having created a plethora of custom pieces for Queens spanning across multiple seasons. Additionally, Mr. Clayton has dressed many of pop culture’s royalty; Doja Cat, Allie X and Brooke Candy, to name a few, and has designed costumes for some of Canada’s most acclaimed contemporary dance and opera companies. Evan teaches pattern drafting, garment construction, textiles and fabric manipulation to the fashion design students at BMC.

Evan teaches Fabric Manipulation, Garment Construction, Pattern Making and Textiles & Fabrics.
